This work has unfolded over time through study, experience, and meaningful relationships.

Each has deepened my understanding of what it means to be human.

My Story

I hold a Master’s degree in Depth Psychology and am dual-certified through the Narrative Enneagram, as well as certified through the CP Enneagram Academy’s Personal Mastery Program. My work brings together psychological insight, the Enneagram, and a deeply relational, trauma-informed approach to personal growth.

Over the years, I have developed Enneagram-based self-development curricula for a wide range of clients – from B Corporations and nonprofits to individual family systems – and have facilitated thousands of hours of courses and workshops across diverse settings.

Some of the most meaningful work of my life has taken place inside jails and prisons. Sitting with individuals in these spaces – exploring patterns, stories, and the possibility for change has continually reshaped my understanding of what it means to be human. I have witnessed, again and again, the depth of insight, courage, and transformation that can emerge when someone is met with honesty, respect, and care.

This work has asked something of me as well – to show up with humility, to listen more deeply, and to hold space for the complexity of each person’s experience without reducing any one of us to our circumstances. It continues to inform not only how I facilitate but how I relate to all people, in all spaces.

Out of this work, I have trained over 50 facilitators to lead trauma-informed, Enneagram-based self-development programs within correctional spaces supporting the continuation and expansion of this work beyond my direct involvement.

I also bring a deeply personal understanding of what it means to live in a body that doesn’t always cooperate. I have lived with chronic illness for over 30 years… An ongoing ebb and flow of frustration and surrender. And one of the most profound teachers in my own inner work. If you are navigating chronic illness, I may not know your exact flavor of chronic illness or disability, but I do understand what it is like to live in a body that asks far more of you than what is considered typical.

At the heart of what I do is a deep respect for each person’s capacity to grow and transform. I am especially drawn to working with those who feel called toward meaningful change; to those who want to understand themselves more fully, relate more deeply, and engage with life as an ongoing journey of healing, belonging, and becoming.

"Dana’s impeccable credentials in the mental health profession are second only to her uncanny ability to gain the trust of others. She is empathetic and extremely relatable. She’s led me down paths that are difficult, even impossible to navigate on my own.

Her compassionate and collaborative approach is invaluable. She holds me accountable, holds space for me and encourages me when I think and even believe in my soul that I.just.can’t.do.it. Thanks to Dana, I am getting to know who I was meant to be."

My Approach

This work is rooted in the understanding that real, lasting change doesn’t come from forcing ourselves to be different. It comes from learning how to see ourselves more clearly, and relating to what we find with honesty and compassion.

The Enneagram is a powerful entry point into that process. It offers a map of the patterns, motivations, and inner dynamics that shape how we think, feel, and relate. But it is not the destination. It is a tool, one that helps us notice where we are operating on autopilot and where there is space for something more conscious to emerge.

My work is not about placing you in a type or defining you by a system. It is about using the Enneagram, alongside psychological insight, to support a deeper unfolding of who you already are.

At the center of this process is your own inner knowing. I bring experience, perspective, and guidance, but not answers about who you are or who you “should” be. This is a collaborative process, where your lived experience is as important as any framework we use.

My approach is intuitive and responsive to the moment. Rather than following a fixed structure, each session becomes a dynamic blend of coaching and consulting, guided by what will best support the client’s awareness and growth. Through the lens of the Enneagram, we explore patterns, uncover deeper motivations, and open space for transformation.

I approach this work through a holistic and trauma-informed lens. This means we move with care, respect the pace of your system, and honor the ways your patterns have developed for a reason. Nothing is approached as something to be fixed, only something to be understood.

This is also deeply relational work. Growth doesn’t happen in isolation. Growth happens in how we come into relationship with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. Together, we explore not just insight, but how that insight lives in your day-to-day experience.

Ultimately, this work is about expanding your capacity:

to be with yourself more honestly,
to communicate more clearly,
to relate more deeply,
and to live with greater awareness, choice, and alignment.

The Enneagram

The Enneagram is a powerful tool for understanding the patterns that shape how we think, feel, and relate to the world. It offers insight into our core motivations, our habitual ways of navigating life, and the strategies we’ve developed (often unconsciously) to feel secure, capable, autonomous, and connected.

At its core, the Enneagram helps us see where we are operating on autopilot. It brings awareness to the places where our patterns limit us, as well as the deeper qualities and capacities that become available as we begin to loosen those patterns.

In my work, the Enneagram is not used to label or define you. It is not about putting yourself in a box or reducing your experience to a type. Instead, it serves as a map, a way of orienting to your inner world with more clarity and compassion.

The real work is not in identifying your type, but in what happens after:
how you relate to your patterns,
how you begin to notice them in real time,
and how, over time, something more conscious and aligned can emerge.

The Enneagram simply opens the door. What we do with that awareness is where the deeper transformation begins.

This is not about becoming someone new. It’s about coming into a more honest relationship with the brilliance and beauty of who you already are.
